Mufti Taha Masood, originally from Montreal, Quebec, began his Islamic education young, completing the Quran memorization by 16. He studied Tajwid and furthered his Quran studies in Karachi, Pakistan, and then pursued formal Islamic studies at Al-Ihsan Educational Foundation in Vancouver, where he completed his Bachelor’s in Islamic Studies with distinction. He then completed his Master’s degree in Hadith and Tafsir in the UK with honours under renowned scholars at Darul Uloom Bury, UK. Returning to Vancouver, Mufti Taha completed his post-graduate Iftaa program, specializing in Islamic Jurisprudence and graduating with honours.
Currently, he serves as the head director and instructor at Al Ihsan, overseeing all educational and community programs. Additionally, he is active in the Muslim community, delivery inspiring lectures and classes at Mosques and Islamic Centres across Canada.
Mufti Taha is on the Shari’a Advisory Board for National Zakat Foundation Canada and MuslimGive, and is also currently pursuing a degree in education.
